Sculptural cabinet that is all hand forged using traditional joinery techniques of mortise and tenon and riveting. The frame is forged from 1” square bar stock, with holes punched trough. The front of the cabinet is made up of several diffrent sizes of stock that have been textured and given length and or width at the same time. All the pieces are carefully cut and arranged to be riveted directly to the hinges. The door handles are also forged from 1” square bar stock. They are then painted and distressed to give a look of a long useful life. The color is Allis Chalmers Orange, this represents the strong connection between blacksmiths and agriculture.

This piece comes from an idea of an abstract satellite image of plowed farm fields of the Upper Midwest.
