Shelf 48: Hand forged shelf , each panel is forged from a 1 1/2" x 3/8" piece of metal under the power hammer using specialty dies to give width and texture at the same time. Each piece is riveted together with a half inch spacer to give the piece more depth. The hand made brackets are cantilevered against the wall to give it more strength, it has two mounting screws. The top rests on the brackets and is a one inch piece of semi-translucent acrylic. The metal is finished with beeswax and linseed oil, the top can be cleaned with a damp cloth or soap and water. Glass cleaner should not be used.
