Table 54 - Forged Iron and Chroma: Hand forged table using only blacksmithing techniques and joinery. I use mortise and tenon joinery, the holes are punched through each leg then a forged tenon is passed through the hole and joined together hot. Each bend in the 1 1/4" solid square bar stock is made hot, there is no modern welding used on this piece. The top is a semi-translucent acrylic and rests on the base. The metal is finished with beeswax and linseed oil, the top can be cleaned with a damp cloth or soap and water. Glass cleaner should not be used.
